CORK FILMS
Cork Films is a family run film company set up by Emily Corcoran an actress, writer and producer. The company has bases in London, France and New Zealand, and has shot films on both sides of the globe.
Cork Films has most recently released ‘THE MOUSTAKAS SISTERS MYSTERY’ feature film at The Everyman Cinema for a limited release. Their first television series ‘THE SUNSHINE MURDERS’ will screen on Channel 5 and Paramount + in the UK and UPtv in the USA in 2025.
The action feature film ‘DUCHESS’ is available to view on Amazon and various streamers globally, as is romantic comedy feature film ‘EAT, LOVE, LONDON’ and arthouse horror feature ‘COUNTRY OF HOTELS’. Thriller feature film ‘COMPULSION’ is due for release in 2025.
After writing and producing several short films that sold internationally, Emily wrote and produced the comedy feature film ‘SISTERHOOD’, which secured a UK theatrical deal, and was released in the USA, Australia & New Zealand. The film made the Official Selection of four international film festivals and was nominated for a number of awards including winning ‘Best First Film’ at the British Film Festival in Los Angeles. ‘SISTERHOOD’ has been re-released on imdbTV, Roku and Tubi in 2022.
Emily went on to produce the feature film ‘CONFINE’ starring Alfie Allen ('Game of Thrones'.) ‘CONFINE’ has been nominated & won dozens of awards at film festivals worldwide. ‘CONFINE’ was released theatrically in the UK & USA and has recently screened on UK television.
In 2013, Emily Co-Produced 'WINTER' starring Tommy Flanagan ('Sons of Anarchy',) & triple Cesar nominee Judith Godreche and Exec Produced by Rolling Stone, Ronnie Wood. The film has since premiered on SKY. She was an Associate Producer on the feature films 'CRYPTIC', 'SUPERBOB' in association with Channel 4, the horrors 'X-MOOR', 'PATCH OF FOG' and 'THE SURVIVALIST' which was nominated for a BAFTA , won a BIFA award and special mention at Tribeca Film Festival . She also Co-Produced the zombie flick 'CLASH OF THE DEAD'.
Cork Films also produced the short comedy 'EARS' starring 'Harry Potter' star Oliver Phelps which premiered on the Comedy Central website and has since featured at a number of international film festivals. Emily co-wrote and produced the pilot 'THE FIGHT ROOM' which made Official Selection of the New York Television Festival 2014, and Co-Produced the sci-fi short film 'COGNITION' starring Andrew Scott & Jeremy Irvine which had a theatrical release in the UK in 2020.
In 2017 Cork Films completed production on Emily’s self-penned feature film 'THE STOLEN' starring Alice Eve & Jack Davenport. The film has sold internationally, screening in cinemas, Sky Television and on Netflix. It is now being turned into a spin-off television series, developed in conjunction with Creative Europe.
